Unlike traditional MIG and TIG welding methods, fiber laser welding focuses heat more precisely. By minimizing heat-affected zones, parts experience significantly less shrinkage.
For instance, when we previously produced a frame using TIG welding techniques, it could shrink by up to 50 thousandths; now, this same component only shrinks by 5 thousandths with laser welding, a tenfold improvement!
Cleaner, Stronger Welds
Fiber laser welding produces deeper root penetration, creating welds that are as strong—if not stronger—than traditional methods. This also reduces the need for post-processing, such as grinding, accelerating production and reducing lead times for our customers.
